Minecraft is one of the most classic games of the 21st century. Hundreds of children, teenagers even, are obsessed with this incredible game. Ever changing and never boring, Minecraft is one of the most interesting and creative video games within the entire computer game stanza. Available on the Nintendo Switch, Computers, iPads and iPhones you are only a few taps away from experiencing pure enjoyment and exploration. But the Minecraft journey is far from finished. The new Minecraft update, ‘Trails and Tales’ was released recently into the game and it is wild! Being a Minecraft player, I know what it is like to experience the game. Minecraft is as captivating as it is mysterious. Multiple mobs roam the Minecraft worlds, enemies and friends. Some include hostile witches, zombies, skeletons and pillagers which you must battle or survive as you make your way through the server. Alternatively, Minecraft is also occupied by gentle and sweet creatures such as villagers, foxes, frogs and much more. Special areas called ‘biomes’ are what make up your Minecraft world. These Biomes can range from cold Tundras to warm Savannahs, your player will explore far and wide. But then again, you don’t have to.
One of the best things about Minecraft is that you are in control of yourself. No orders, no plots but a lot of excitement and action. There are three basic modes that you can switch yourself on in the Minecraft worlds. My personal favourite is survival mode. Survival is when your player adopts a completely dangerous state. You have a number of hearts in your life bar and hostile mobs will attack you on sight. It is harder to live the life of a peaceful player on Survival, one of the complexities being a mob called Creepers, who detonate when they are within a certain reach of you, usually blowing up your house and/or the area around you. Another mode is Creative, which is ideal for people who want to live and build houses in peace. When in the mode, other hostile mobs will not attack you and you will not be able to be eliminated and then respawn. Of course, you can change modes at any time which is another reason why Minecraft is so spontaneous and new! In Creative you have access to all materials and everything that makes up the Minecraft worlds. Mob spawn eggs to music boxes. Oak wood to diamond blocks. Anything you desire. The final mode in Minecraft is ‘Adventure’. Adventure is typically explained in the name. In this mode, you can not mine, build or attack in your world. The main objective is to explore the world without any abilities. Just you and your Minecraft player, along with all the hostile mobs and animals of the server!
Trails and Tails is the most recent Minecraft update. As explained in the previous paragraph the update was a true and amazing addition to the Minecraft game. If you thought Minecraft was amazing enough then think again. I and the other players on this app have already had their minds blown from the new update to the game. The new update includes Cherry blossoms, bamboo wood planks, bookshelves you can stack books in and even more, much more. This update brings different materials and experiences into the Minecraft worlds. The new and improved biome that has been added to Minecraft is the Cherry Biome. Although slightly obvious, this area includes pink petals showering through the air and stranded on the ground, as well as this, enormous cherry blossoms that you can even convert into a personal treehouse. Along with the update, there are also additional animals and coding for them that makes your Minecraft experience a truly incredible one. Recently Camels have been introduced into Minecraft. You may ride them, feed them and lead them on ropes across the desert biomes just like a travelling merchant. Camels can be fed cacti which can be found in the desert or in ‘creative mode’ in the ‘nature’ section. However, Cacti can still hurt you and your camel when in contact with you so be careful when travelling the desert.
Another addition is something that is a lifesaving factor to the Minecraft experience. Now you may edit signs, and signposts have been introduced into Minecraft as well. Previously Minecraft signs could not be edited and if a sign was placed with a typo on it then you would have to live with it or start the sign again. This new addition really makes the experience less fiddly and much more enjoyable. Although there is so much more in the Minecraft world like decorated pots, new animals or even brushes, I must bring this review to a close. Finally, this experience is not to be missed and with the new update, Minecraft is definitely one of the most mystical and extraordinary games in the video game saga so far. All you need to do to feel the amazement of this game is click on the app, press play, customise your player if you wish and create a new world which you can also add so many things to. In conclusion, the new Minecraft update, Trails and Tales has been one of the greatest experiences in me and other players’ entire gaming life.
