AUTHOR: ALLY VOYLES

On Friday, 19 August, we received an email from the Deputy Head of Senior School announcing the winners of the 2023 Senior Council elections. Many of us are familiar with a few of the names on the list, but… how well do we really know our future leaders? Read on for a small introduction to next year’s Senior Council!

The SC:

Lucy Piva – School Captain

“I really love the way that I can give back to the school and bring student dreams into reality. Additionally, I enjoy helping others grow and working as a part of a team, which really meant it was the perfect position. I am looking forward to building stronger connections between our year groups and campuses, as well as supporting every student to be their best.”

Hope for the future: “I want to go to uni, I’m not sure what I want to study yet. Maybe something in science. But honestly, I am just trying to have fun and do my best over the next year and a half!”

A fun fact: “I can raise one eyebrow at a time ‘,:)”

“I have been given so many opportunities and such great support since coming to CGGS. I hoped for the opportunity to give back to the community and support others in the same way I was. I wanted to be the person people could come to for anything! I am looking forward to accomplishing a greater connection between year levels and encouraging unity throughout our school so that we can fulfil our goals together!”

Hope for the future: “I’m not too sure yet, something to do with the social sciences! I am planning to take a gap year to travel and work before uni.”
